Windows Mail is free email software on the Windows operating system, presented as Outlook Express's successor.

Configuring Windows Mail


Part 1: Add email account

Open Windows Mail, then create a new account.

Fill in the requested information and then click "Next".

Part 2: Email account settings

Please enter the following information in the new window:

My mail server for incoming mail: POP3


Login: Your full email address.

Information on the outgoing server:

Tick "My outgoing server requires authentication"

You must use port 587 in SMTP and tick this box to connect to the outgoing server.
This is the outbound port authenticated for all ISPs.

Click "Next" to finish.

Your email account is now fully configured.
