Configure Outlook 2013

Part 1: Getting started

This is the information you need to configure email in POP with SSLactivated.

You can configure an email in IMAP by using the settings at the end of this guide.

Open Outlook 2013 and click on "File" (the blue icon on the top left)

Another email account is already configured in Outlook.

A new window will open.

Part 2: Account information

Click on "Add Account" next to the "plus" icon.

Part 3: Add account

You can configure your email account either manually or automatically

If you choose to manually configure it:

Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click on "Next.

Part 4: Account type

You can choose how to configure your email account.
Select "POP or IMAP", then click "Next" to continue.

Part 5: Account settings - POP/IMAP

Please fill in the following information:

Your name: the name on your email account
Email address: your full email address
Account type: select POP3
Incoming mail server: the server for receiving mail SSL0.OVH.NET
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Server for sending mail SSL0.OVH.NET
User name: your full email address
Password: the password configured in your Control Panel

Untick"Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)"

Then click "More Settings" to continue.

Part 6: Outgoing server settings

In the new window, click on the green "Outgoing server" tab.

Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentification" then click OK.

Select "Choose the same settings as my incoming mail server".

Part 7: Advanced settings

Click on the green "Advanced options" tab.

Incoming server (POP3): the incoming server port: 995 with SSL

This server needs an encrypted connectionTick to activate SSL
Outgoing server (SMTP): the outgoing server port: 465 with SSL
Use the following encrypted connection type:SSL to activate SSL.

Click on "OK" and "Next" to finish.

Finalisation

Outlook 2013 will now verify that the entered settings are correct.

Configuration successful

You should now receive confirmation that your account has been fully configured.

POP configuration

This is the information you need to configure an email in POP in Outlook 2007.

Configuration in POP with enabled or disabledSSL security:

Email address: Your full email address.
Password: The password configured in your Control Panel.
Username: Your full email address.
Incoming server: The incoming email server: SSL0.OVH.NET.
Incoming server port: The incoming server port: 995 or 110.
Outgoing server: The outgoing email server: SSL0.OVH.NET.
Outgoing server port: The outgoing server port: 465 or 587.

Ports 110 and 587 are for disabled SSL security.
Ports 995 and 465 are for enabled SSL security.

IMAP configuration

This is the information you need to configure an IMAP email account in Outlook 2007.

IMAP configuration with enabled or disabledSSL security:

Email address: Your full email address.
Password: The password configured in your Control Panel.
Username: Your full email address.
Incoming server: The incoming email server: SSL0.OVH.NET.
Incoming server port: The incoming server port: 993 or 143.
Outgoing server: The outgoing email server: ssl0.ovh.net.
Outgoing server port: The outgoing server port: 465 or 587.

Ports 143 and 587 are for disabled SSL security.
Ports 993 and 465 are for enabled SSL security.
