Part 1: Getting started

To get started, go to the Windows 8 "Mail" application on your computer's welcome page.

If it is your first time logging in, you need to specify an email address and the relevant password, on a different interface to this one.

If you already have an existing account, this interface will appear.

Move your cursor to the right-hand side, and select "Settings".

Part 2: Accounts

Click on "Accounts"[/ green] to add your new OVH email account.

Part 3: Add account

You'll see that the email addresses are already registered.

Once the email account has been added, you can click on the email account to access the account settings.

Click the "Add an account" icon to continue.

Part 4: Account type

You must select the type of email account to be added.
Click the "Other account" icon to continue.

Part 5: Settings

On this new interface, fill in the following fields accordingly:

"Email": Your full OVH email address.

"Password": The password saved inthe Control Panel for this eemail account.

Click the "Connect" icon to continue.

Part 6: Advanced settings

On this interface, fill in the following fields accordingly:

"Email": The full email address.

"Username": You must enter your full email address.

"Password": The password saved in[url=" https://www.ovh.com/managerv3"]the Control Panel[/url] for this email account.

"Incoming mail server (IMAP)" :
The server address is ssl0.ovh.net.
The "Port" is 993.

"The incoming server requires SSL": must be ticked.

"Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)":
The server address is ssl0.ovh.net.
The "Port" is 465 .

"Outgoing server requires SSL": must be ticked.

"Outgoing server requires authentication": must be ticked.

"Use the same username and password to send and receive electronic messages": must be ticked.

Click on the "Connect" icon to continue.

Part 7: Finalisation

Your email account is now properly configured for IMAP.

Here is the email user interface.

On the right-hand side, you'll see the correct account settings for your email (see Part 3 of this guide).
