Manage your Dedicated Cloud with Hyper-V
NEW: with the Hyper-V hypervisor, Windows licences are free for all your VMs!
OVH and Microsoft offer the Hyper-V licence preinstalled on your dedicated cloud and automatically extended to all the servers and racks included in your your pack.
OVH takes care of the automated deployment, updates and ensuring optimal configuration, allowing you to focus on using your virtualisation solution.
- Take your first steps in virtualisation as a service with this unique offer.
Your dedicated hosted infrastructure
With Dedicated Cloud Hyper-V as a Service, you get your own dedicated infrastructure, a dedicated Virtual Machine Manager (Microsoft virtualisation solution) and a System Center Virtual Machine Manager Console (SCVMM: a client enabling you to manage your virtual machines). Even the network is dedicated to you!
In the SCVMM interface, you get an overview of the hosts and datastores provided by OVH, as well as the VMs that you've created.
An all-inclusive pack
OVH provides starter packs, each including:
- Microsoft Hyper-V licences
- Two servers (hosts)
- Two disk arrays (datastores)
- 100% SLA guarantee
- Private network
- Free Windows licences for your VMs.
Everything is included in these packs so that you can start using your Dedicated Cloud and creating your virtual machines within minutes.
We guarantee that your Dedicated Cloud Hyper-V will be hosted on a Microsoft-compliant platform. Dedicated Cloud powered by Microsoft is also part of the Cloud OS Network programme. OVH also brings you all the features of Hyper-V.
High availability offers you protection against hardware failure and operating system malfunction. This service permanently monitors your virtual machines, so if one machine goes down, High Availability ensures that it's rebooted automatically on another server on your Dedicated Cloud. Your VM is available again within minutes and without any human intervention whatsoever.
With vMotion, you can move your virtual machines running on one host to another in just one click. There's no service downtime as the active memory and operating status of your VMs are transferred immediately. What's more, the end-user is not affected by planned maintenance, for example, as the network is also virtualised and the VMs retain their network identity and connections.
Move your virtual machines disks from one datastore to another, without any service interruption. With Storage Migration, you can choose to migrate your VM data from one physical disk to another if you need to.
Performance resource optimisation
This feature enables the load of the virtual machines to be spread across the different hosts of the infrastructure. If one virtual machine consumes more resources, the resource optimisation moves it to another server with a smaller load, so that performance is not adversely affected.
System Center Operation Manager*
The System Center Operation Manager provides a tool for monitoring your infrastructure. Supervise and track the performance of your VMs and Windows system events.
Storage I/O load balancing
Define different rules and preferences for managing the quality of your virtual machine I/O. You are thus guaranteed access hierarchy on a shared storage system.
Storage QoS enables you to control the quality of service of the VM storage I/O. Identify congestion on your datastores to improve load balancing and achieve better performance.
